HOSPITAL cooks are working up an appetite for a cancer charity's fundraising efforts to serve up Britain's Biggest All Day Breakfast.
Staff at the Chimney's Restaurant at Bishop Auckland General Hospital have signed up for the March 7 event in aid of Cancer Research UK.
TV presenter and actress Gaby Roslin is spearheading the nationwide campaign as her actor father Clive successfully beat bowel cancer a few years ago. On the day the Chimney's catering team, led by manager Alison Sewell, will be extending their normal breakfast menu and encouraging customers, who include patients, staff and visitors, to make a donation towards the charity's £200,000 target.
Alison said; "This is the third year we've taken part and it's great fun.
"It's a really easy and enjoyable way to raise money for Cancer Research UK, which is such an important cause."
To take part call Lindsay Kay, the charity's community fundraiser for Durham on (01325) 308849 or (0191) 281 8288. www.cancerresearchuk. org/alldaybreakfast
