THE £1.2m Stockton City Learning Centre was officially opened this week.
The centre, at Billingham Campus School, Billingham, was opened by the Mayor of Stockton, Councillor Jean O'Donnell.
The money for the centre came from Excellence in Cities, a Government initiative which helps fund information technology facilities.
The centre is designed to benefit children, adults in the community and organisations.
The centre is equipped with interactive whiteboards, broadband Internet access and multi-media equipment.
It offers video conferencing and conference and meeting facilities, as well as specialist support.
