A RARE guitar was among a goods taken during three house burglaries last week.
The guitar, a black BC Rich, Mick Thomson Signature Special, is believed to be one of only a handful of its type in the country. It was taken from a house in Thirsk on Friday.
Detective Constable Ian Sanderson, of North Yorkshire Police, said: "It is a very rare piece of equipment and came from a dealer in London.
"I would ask anyone who may be offered it to contact the police immediately.
"These burglaries are an ongoing problem in the Thirsk area and we are looking for a lead to find the people responsible."
Anyone with information about the guitar, or the other burglaries, is asked to contact Northallerton CID, on (01609) 789789.
