Cambridgeshire police are appealing to people in the North-East to help identify a body found dumped in the street.
Officers have released an e-fit of the man, whose body was found on fire on the road from Southey Woods to the A47, in Peterborough, on Saturday, December 21.
The man had been stabbed a number of times, shot twice and then set on fire. He had distinctive damaged teeth and may have been Asian or Middle Eastern. A police spokesman said: "We had hoped that someone in the Cambridgeshire area would recognise the man or a DNA sample would help us identify him but we have drawn a blank. We are now asking people farther afield to get in touch if they have any idea who the man can be."
Anyone with information is asked to call (01733) 424242 or (01733) 563232.
