VILLAGERS have used their new recycling centre to turn Christmas trees into compost.
The car park of the village pub, The Milbank Arms, in Well, near Bedale, recently became the site of a mini-recycling centre, with banks for glass, paper and cans, and became one of the collecting points for trees set up by Hambleton District Council.
It is the third year that villages in the Hambleton district have signed up for tree collection stations to operate in local car parks and village halls.
