Result of the week was chalked up by Redcar Lakes B who were playing hosts to Carlin How A.
Gary Marshall set the standard when taking two games from Andrew Shelley with scores of 60-47 and 62-48. Neil Grey then made it 3-0 when beating Mark Earl in their first frame 80-27.
Earl then managed to pull a point back for the visitors when beating Grey in their second encounter 64-36. Brian Norris then made sure of a 5-1 home win after beating Brian Magor with scores of 68-13 and 62-35. Marske WMC A also recorded an excellent 5-1 home win against Guisborough Cons. A. The Redcar Unionist's A team continued their good run of form when they beat Redcar Lakes C 4-2. Third-placed, Saltburn Cons. B, also chalked up a 4-2 home win against the Redcar Cons. A. Redcar Cons B managed to fair better than their A team after recording a 4-2 home win against Lune Street B, this being their second win of the season, but they will need to continue with this kind of form if they are to move out of the relegation zone. Leaders, Redcar WMC A, continued their unbeaten run when on their travels they beat Guisborough TA 4-2. Scott Hardy Burns from the Workies compiled a 58 break during his match with Gary Nicholson while teammate, Richard Beckham, compiled breaks of 31, 32, 39, 43 and 47 during his two frames with Stewart Briggs. Second placed, Redcar Lakes A also recorded a 4-2 home win against New Marske during which Gary Forrest compiled a 40 break.
In Division Two, Carlin How B moved into third after recording a 5-1 home win against The Lodge. Eric Wheatman, of Carlin, lost his first game against Paul Butler 54-60 but Wheatman managed to level the match when taking the second 71-35. Mark Agar made it 3-1 when beating Ricky Heseltine 59-28 and 64-44. Andrew Wiseman also won his two games against Philip Butler 59-15 and 64-34 to make it 5-1. Ennis Square's A team remain in second spot after they chalked up a 5-1 home win against Saltburn Cons. B. Ennis now trail leaders, Guisborough Quoit, by three points, but the Quoit kept their unbeaten run with a 4-2 home win against the Redcar Unionist's. Lune Street A pushed up into sixth position aided by a 4-2 home win against Ennis Square B. Guisborough Cons. B also recorded a 4-2 home win against Marske WMC B and Val's Priory held the Redcar Workies B team to a 3-3 tie.
