In the Durham Minor Cup sixth round Metro Church Sunderland hosted Hartlepool Saint James.
Saint James took the lead after two minutes but after 25 minutes John Lumb squared the match at 1-1. The game stayed level until 90 minutes Ryan Pender got Metro the winner after 26 minutes of extra time but under the golden goals rule.
Jesmond Parish Church slumped to third place after being top and second most of the season. Consett Churches went into a three-goal lead from Andrew Murray (2) and David Cook. Jason Cochrane gave Jesmond hope at time 3-1. Crook got his second in the second half for Consett to move into second place with a 4-1 win.
George Churchill put Monkwearmouth Christians 1-0 ahead on the road at Stakeford Methodist Church. John Rutherford scored from the penalty spot just before the break with the match finishing 1-1.
Joint fourth place with Monkwearmouth are Airport Church who travelled to Low Fell to take on Saint Peter's Andrew Roberts put Airport one up with David Donaldson going back to his old club and netting the second. Steve Reynolds put Saint Peter's back in the match after an hour but straight from the kick off Roberts got his second to gave Airport a 3-1 win.
Stranton Saints - Hartlepool knocked out of the league cup at Middlesbrough Baptist's last week got back to wining ways in the league at Whitley Bay Churches. Nil-nil at half time, Andy Normanton gave Stranton the lead Geoff Noble equalised for Whitley Bay with Paul Gough netting the winner in the last five minutes.
Bottom of the table clash saw Ryton Churches play Lanchester Chapel with the win going to the home team. Ryton had Tony Christie score twice with brothers Byran and Steven Gilmour scoring once each with Karl Hepplewhite and Oliver Webster scoring for Lanchester with the final score 4-2.
In division two Jesmond Parish Athenians continue with their unbeaten season hosting bottom club Whitley Bay Baptist Church who took the lead through Neil Orr.
A double strike from Keith Chambers and a shot from Ken Matthew put Athenians 3-1 in front. Second half Matthews, got his second and Mark Davison got on the score sheet to the end the scoring 5-1.
Two goals in the second half from Nick Rowlings gave Heworth Christian Fellowship all three points in a 2-0 win at Heaton Hearts.
Two matches with no goals in the first half were St John's Snod's Edge and City Church Newcastle. Ray Wilkinson, Keith Purvis and Mark Shaw gave Saint John's and 3-1 win.
The other saw Jesmond Parish Corinthian's Simon Richardson score first with Steven Dunkerley and Steven Wintergill gave Saint Aidan's Chapel Castington a 2-1 win.
A Teesside derby with league newcomers Stockton Baptist Church had Lee Hogarth give them a shock away lead Adam Lodge equalised for Middlesbrough Baptist. At the beginning of the second half it was the same story, John Iley put Stockton into a 2-1 lead John Scofield tied the match at 2-2. In the latter minutes Hodge popped up to grab his second and give Middlesbrough Baptist's a 3-2 win.
At Yarm, Emmanuel surged into a 3-0 lead from Craig Laycock (2) and David McQuillan. Yarm then subbed their centre half and captain Andy Laing. Bethany Christian Centre took full advantage and brought the match back to 3-3 from Craig Richardson (2) and Richard Hartis. Craig Laycock got his hat trick and the winning goal for Yarm Emmanuel 4-3.
