CHARACTERS from the cartoon series Scooby Doo are coming to life on Teesside - in the interests of education.
The University of Teesside, Middlesbrough, is to host 450 pupils from 11 primary schools during a series of half-day taster activities in art, science and computing, next week.
The university's schools and colleges liaison team will dress as the cartoon characters to introduce activities.
Schools liaison officer Wendy Bell said: "We decided on the Scooby Doo theme as we hope the pupils will help us solve mysteries and carry out some detective work."
The pupils will work with university students, who will act as their mentors.
