A FREE health topic group programme is available at a Newton Aycliffe care centre.
The first two planned sessions at the Pioneering Care Centre will cover osteoporosis and weight management.
Other topics, which are available thanks to funding secured by the Pioneering Care Partnership, will include diabetes, stroke and coronary heart disease.
The osteoporosis session takes place on Tuesday, February 25 from 10am to noon and includes talks from the osteoporosis nurse and Sedgefield Borough Council's health walks co-ordinator.
The weight management session, which takes place on Tuesday, March 25, includes a healthy cooking demonstration and a free lunch.
Janet Price, the Pioneering Care Partnership's health projects co-ordinator, said: "I am really excited by this new initiative, which I believe will not only provide information but also raise awareness around a variety of health related topics for all residents."
Booking is essential. For details, call Gill Macnab on (01325) 321234, minicom (01325) 313133 or call in at the Pioneering Care Centre, Off Burn Lane, Newton Aycliffe.
