Billingham Girls 3 v 5 Barnard Castle

Scorers for Billingham were Jessica Close, Toni Hardy and Amy Plummer who also took the player of the match award. For Barnard Castle their goals were scored by Danielle Scarr (2) and Kirsty Hutchinson (3) with the player of the match award going to Kathryn Jones.

Norton & Stockton 2 v 1 D'ton Simply Lasses

Things stayed even until Norton take the lead through a Phillipa Thomas goal. The scores were levelled through an excellent goal from Carly Wrangham but Norton replied when Emily Wilson scored. Players of the match were Phillipa Thomas for Norton and Kellie Cox for Simply.

St. Francis 2000 1 v 3 Spraire Lasses

The balance of the game changed when the home team lost their keeper through illness, being replaced by any girl who would play in goal. The game remained goalless until the third period of play when Spraire took the lead through their player of the match Laura Spence who went on to score a hat-trick. St. Francis continued to test the visitors and it was new signing Kayleigh Mills who scored the reply. Player of the match for St. Francis went to Sarah Rowbotham. South Durham Royals

The Under-13 Royals travelled to Blyth for the first round of the Presidents Cup. This was a well-contested match both teams having scoring chances but the defenders remained well organised. For Royals Natalie and Kimberley Wild both exceptional in defence with Alex Saunders alongside. Jennifer Jennings and Lauren McDonald worked hard in midfield creating chances and Chloe McKay narrowly missing the goal on several occasions. With just nine minutes to go Blyth opened the scoring but two minutes later Chloe McKay equalised for Royals. Both teams tired and fought hard but it was Blyth who wrapped up the match in the final two minutes. Final score was Blyth 2, Royals 1.

Man of the match for Royals Steph Hartley who gave her usual top class performance in goal.

The Ladies team took on Billingham and this was a hard fought match for both teams in heavy conditions. Royals opened the scoring with Carrie Ross running past the Billingham defence to make it 1-0 after 30 minutes. Billingham came out fighting after half time and immediately put two quick goals past Royals. they continued to dominate and scored another three goals before Tracy Swales passed to Kate Hewitson who scored for Royals to make the final score Billingham 5, Royals 2.
