Durham and District League
The shock result of the week, and probably the season, came at Ushaw Moor Catholic Club when the visiting league leaders, Durham Snooker Club crashed to only their second defeat when they lost by five points.
The home side had two points from Ian Toase, E. Patterson and S. Patterson whilst B. Smith, P. Vasey and J. Davison added one each. The Snooker Club replied with one point each from David Harrison, Colin Hutchinson, Michael Rhodes and David Jones.
This defeat for the Snooker Club reduces their lead at the top to only eight points over Consett Stateside, who have a match in hand. Framwellgate Moor Marquis of Granby occupy third place but are five points behind the Stateside with an extra match played.
