A TEENAGER who has played for England's table tennis youth squad, is coaching another young hopeful.
Claire Wilson, 17, is helping nine-year-old Emily Greener to perfect her game every week after lessons at St Teresa's Primary School, in Darlington, where she is a pupil.
The coaching has paid off, with Emily being named the youngest person to play table-tennis for County Durham - an accolade formerly held by Claire, who joined the team aged ten.
Claire, who also went to St Teresa's, is coached by her father, Keith.
Mr Wilson said: "Both girls are members of the Darlington Table Tennis Club. We were very proud when Claire was chosen to represent England and now she is helping other youngsters.
"It is amazing that someone as young as Emily is playing such good table tennis. She regularly competes against 17-year-olds, but nothing fazes her."
