A COMMUNITY has celebrated the official opening of a £224,300 learning centre.
The Kirkleatham Local Learning Centre, West Redcar, was built with money from the West Redcar Single Regeneration Budget (SRB) Community Investment Fund.
The centre, which has already attracted more than 100 scholars, was opened by deputy Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland Coun Wendy Wall and Mayoress Brenda Forster.
The centre is a partnership between Redcar and Cleveland Adult Education Service, the Kirkleatham Community Forum, residents, the adjacent Green Gates Primary School, px limited (formerly Enron) and the West Redcar SRB Fund.
