COLLEGE students worried about getting to campus have been thrown a lifeline.
The axing of an evening bus service caused concern among students at the Riverside College, giving rise to fears of being left with a long walk in the dark after night classes.
That was until Stockton Borough Council stepped in following the withdrawal of a commercial operator. The college has agreed to help fund an extension of the Stockton Shuttle 525 bus service, which will provide four evening runs on Mondays to Fridays. The new service will also serve passengers for Thornaby railway station.
