GENERALLY, caravans are loved by the retired and hated by almost everyone who gets stuck behind one on the roads every summer.
But, in North Yorkshire, even youngsters have been stopping to stare at the latest innovation to hit the salesrooms.
Dutch manufacturers Tabbert have broken the mould and come up with something to appeal to a less traditional market, a miniature caravan.
Catterick Caravans salesman Matthew Kinsell said: "I have sat and watched people drive past, do a double-take, turn round and come back again.
"They may look like something from Mork and Mindy, but they are aimed at younger people who may otherwise have chosen a trailer tent."
The caravans cost £7,000 each and Mr Kinsell said their order book was full until next year.
