THE wife of North-East tycoon George Reynolds made a grab for £50,000 in a TV game show this weekend.
Susan Reynolds, a director of Darlington FC, which her husband owns, was one of five hopefuls fighting for the cash on Without Prejudice? on Channel 4, on Saturday night.
The contestants have to impress a panel of judges, who interview them to decide which candidate most deserves the money.
Mrs Reynolds, whose husband amassed a multi-million pound fortune from his chipboard business, was asked for her attitudes to asylum seekers and quizzed on her views on the legalisation of cannabis.
She was the second of the contestants to be voted off the show.
Last night she was unavailable for comment.
Her husband, George, said: "They asked her to go on the show, she enjoyed it and said it was a good experience.
"If she had won, she was going to give the money to a local women's refuge, which is close to her heart."
