WORK by contemporary international glass artists can be seen on the last leg of a touring exhibition at the National Glass Centre, Sunderland, next month.
Heart of Glass features contributions by leading artists in the field, including Tony Oursler, Jean-Michel Othoniel and Robin Winters. It will run from February 10 to April 21.
COUNCIL SURGERY: Easington district councillors Alan Napier and Alice Naylor, and Durham county councillor John Maddison will hold a surgery for people in the Murton West ward on February 7, from 7pm to 8pm, in the Community Centre, McNally House, Murton.
FLOWER CLUB: Durham Flower Club will hold its annual meeting on Thursday, February 6, at 2pm, in North Road Methodist Church Hall, Durham. It will be followed by a flower-arranging demonstration. Admission is £3 for visitors.

ARCHES WALK: Countryside ranger Michael Jones will lead a nine-mile walk around the Hownsgill Arches, tomorrow, starting at 10am from the Rowley Station Picnic Area, near Castleside, Consett. The walk costs £2 and concessions are £1.

HOSPICE SHOP: St Cuthbert's Hospice will hold a shop on Saturday, from 10am to noon, at the hospice's premises in Park House Road, Merryoaks, Durham. Admission is 50p.
THEOSOPHY TALK: Eileen Armstrong will give a talk on theosophy to Durham Unitarian Fellowship on Saturday, at the School of Education, Leazes Road, Durham, from 2pm to 4pm.
