TEACHER Jenny Phillips is the latest addition to a team working to promote a 100-acre countryside site in Hartlepool.
She has been appointed landscape interpretation officer at Summerhill.
Ms Phillips, who has been working at a Stockton primary school, aims to build on the links formed with schools and youth groups by her predecessor, Claire Smith.
Much of her work will involve promoting Summerhill's archaeological value.
It is known that the site was occupied for about 600 years from the Iron Age onwards.
Excavations have found the remains of roundhouses which were probably inhabited by Celts.
