A SUPERMARKET is asking its customers to give generously to a charity throughout next month.
Envelopes will be placed at the entrance to Asda, in Peterlee, and a mailbox will be provided in the store for customers to donate money to the Hartlepool and District Hospice.
The collection is being held in conjunction with a house-to-house campaign the charity is staging throughout next month.
Any householder who does not receive a collection envelope can pick one up at Asda or from their local hospice shop.
Leah Jeffries, hospice fundraiser, said: "This collection will play an important role in our fundraising calendar to provide specialist palliative care for local people."
