RESIDENTS in Middlesbrough are being invited to make the most of the wildlife in their gardens.
At roadshow workshops across the town, Middlesbrough Wildspace team will demonstrate how to provide food and shelter for birds.
There will be opportunities to make a variety of bird feeders and bird treats, as well as tips on what food is best for birds.
Sue Antrobus, wildspace officer, said: "We are busy creating Local Nature Reserves in Middlesbrough, but anyone, even if they have a tiny backyard, can create their own mini nature reserve. The rewards will be the pleasure of watching birds from their armchair."
The workshops, which are free, will be held from 10.30am to 1pm on Sunday, February 9, at Meath Street Community Centre, Middlesbrough, and on Saturday, February 15, from 2pm to 4.30pm, at Lingfield Countryside Centre, Middlesbrough, and at Stainton Village Hall on Sunday, February 23, from 2pm to 4.30pm.
