A CHRISTMAS raffle held at a Ferryhill pub has raised £300 for charity.
The Manor House Hotel raffled off a spirit hamper over Christmas and donated the proceeds to the Mayor of Ferryhill's charities.
Manor House co-owner Pat Giusti handed over a cheque for £300 to the mayor, Coun Ken Campbell, at Ferryhill Town Hall on Monday.
The money will be divided equally between the mayor's two nominated charities, the children's ward at Bishop Auckland General Hospital and the Ferryhill e.caf.
Mrs Giusti said: "I decided to run the raffle this year because I was asked to help out.
"It's something I've always done in my other pubs, but this is the first time I've done it at the Manor.
"I think it's a good sum of money, considering it was only running for two weeks."
