Match of the day was at Consett Churches Belle Vue Sports Centre against Heworth Christian Centre.
Chris McNally gave Consett a 1-0 advantage before Heworth surged into a 4-2 half-time lead, Nick Rowling collecting a hat-trick with Paul Charles scoring the fourth, McNally netting his second. Consett squared the match at 4-4 with Martin Herdman scoring both. McNally got his hat-trick with putting Consett 5-4 ahead in extra time. John Bramley netted for Heworth for 5-5 and to send the match to penalties.
With penalties tied at 10-10, Heworth keeper Roger Rich, saved Consett's effort, and then stepped up to convert the next effort, sending Heworth away to Saint John's Snod's Edge on March 1.
Michael McKenna and Peter Sutherland put Ryton Churches 2-0 ahead at home to St Aidan's Chapel Castington. Ryton scored another two in the second half from Tony Priestley and a second from McKenna to give Ryton a 4-0 win. Ryton will play the winner of Heaton Hearts v Jesmond Parish.
Second Division City Church Newcastle took a 1-0 lead through Gary Harding at first division Whitley Bay Churches. It took Whitley Bay until the second half to gain control with Rob Lewis scoring twice and shots from Chris Stratford, Paul Worsdale, Geoff Noble and Mark Wallace with Bay wining 6-1.
Whitley Bay Baptist Church played Bethany Christian Centre with all the goals coming in the first half. Craig Richarsdon opened the scoring giving Bethany the lead with John Leach equalising for the Baptist's and Scott Holmes getting the winner for Bethany for a 2-1 win.
In the League Stranton Saints took on Lanchester Chapel. Neil Pearson gave Stranton a 1-0 lead before teammates Chris Barlow (2), Andrew Normanton, Paul Jewson and Matthew Turnbull got on the scoresheet.
