A TALENTED young squash player from Guisborough has earned national recognition as a potential star of the future.
Chris Allinson, a year eight student at the town's Laurence Jackson School sports college, has been chosen to train with the England squad.
The honour has come after a series of impressive performances by the youngster, who plays for Guisborough Squash Club and is coached by Malcolm Mills.
He started the year at number seven in the national rankings for his age group, but has moved up to four after playing in many events across the country.
His recent successes include winning the Northern regional under-13 title and finishing runner-up in the Northumbria Open.
He joins the England squad at Lilleshall shortly for the first of many weekend get-togethers designed to further develop his huge potential.
