Annandale Hotel v Boosbeck Utd: With the wind behind them Boosbeck raced into a two-goal lead through Slater and Johnson, despite stand-in keeper, Farndale displaying his agility with a number of top notch saves.
The Annandale defence struggled to get the ball out of their own half but kept the score at 2-0 until half time.
The second half saw the roles reversed, with Annandale camped in the visitors' half but despite efforts from Barker and Lewis the Boosbeck back line stood firm.
With Annandale throwing men forward, Boosbeck clinched the game with a well taken goal on the break, from Winter.
Lingdale Tavern v Anchor Inn
Lingdale started poorly when a Darren Hood mistake resulted in a penalty which Hanratty converted to give Anchor the lead and five minutes later Strike slotted the ball home. With Lingdale sruggling they went three-down after a goal from Blakey in the 15th minute. Lingdale began to settle and pulled a goal back when Breckon put Calvert through to slot past the Anchor keeper and then Calvert got his second. By half time Lingdale were level after Breckon scored. On the hour Breckon netted his second when he hit an unstoppable shot off the cross bar. Lingdale finished the job when Breckon's cross found Calvert who volleyed home and then Thompson beat two defenders to score Lingdale's sixth.
Grangetown YCC v Goldsborough
Grangetown created several chances without really testing the keeper and the first goal came unexpectedly when Millington scored from inside his own half as a ball into the box deceived the Goldsborough keeper. Goldsborough started the second half better and pressed early but Grangetown scored again through Scott.
Lealholm v Loftus Ath
Lealholm took the lead through Brown following a good cross from the right before Loftus fought back. A goalmouth scramble gave Midgley the equaliser then just before half time Lealholm conceded a penalty which Gibson converted. Loftus dominated the second half with Deveraux scoring and then Midgley completing his hat-trick. Crawford grabbed the best goal of the match, a fine volley in off the far post.
Whitby Benevolent Cup
Hughland Laddie v Gt Ayton
The game started with Laddie piling on the pressure and seeing missed chances by Brown and Combellack. The deadlock was broken in the 25th minute when Combellack scored after some good work by Lowther. Minutes later another Lowther cross found Combellack again for him to slot home his second.
A Great Ayton fight back saw Murray smash a 20 yard shot over the bar, this was followed by some good work down the left from Busby who found Murray for him to cross to Lang who slotted home from a very tight angle. The 2-1 margin lasted until half time.
In the second half an instant Ayton attack saw Busby calmly slot home to level the score.
Laddie then took control and went 3-2 ahead when Brown launched a 25 yard pile driver into the top corner. Then in the 65th minute a Brown cross found Burns who headed into the net. Laddie now had a firm grip on the game, substitute, Dowson rounded the keeper to side foot into the net.
Laddie clinched their semi final spot in the 85th minute after a Combellack shot rebounde off the post to Lowther who curled the ball into the top corner of the net.
