A NEW company selling industrial materials handling equipment has won an order with a rapidly growing leaflet distributor.
Alliance Material Handling (AMH), on Consett's No 1 Industrial Estate, is selling forklift trucks and a pallet-carrying warehouse truck to Amaro, which has moved into premises at the Metro Business Park, near the MetroCentre, Gateshead.
Amaro needs the equipment to help it provide a seamless service to clients as it sets in motion plans to quadruple turnover in two years.
The forklift trucks are made by Bowman and the pallet carrying truck by Swedish manufacturer Atlet, for which AMH, which started trading in September, has been appointed the approved supplier for the North of England.
Director David Johnson said: "Winning the order from Amaro was a coup for a new company such as ourselves and was the result of a relationship we have been building up with Amaro since we started trading."
