FREE legal advice is on offer in Easingwold following the forging of a partnership by Hambleton District Council.
The authority has joined forces with the Citizen's Advice Bureau and Thirsk solicitors Shirtcliffe and Co to provide the weekly sessions.
Working on a rota basis, the CAB and Shirtcliffe's use the council's local office to help people in the town.
Hambleton's head of legal services, Martyn Richards, said: "Easingwold has no Legal Aid solicitor and no permanent presence by the CAB. Working through the Community Legal Services Partnership we can now provide this sort of low cost legal advice for residents on a weekly basis."
The service is available every Friday from 9.30am until 11.30am at the Manor Road, Easingwold offices.
