TEENAGERS will get a first taste of life in the driving seat on Monday, when they get behind the wheel of a car simulator.
Pupils at Harelaw School, in Catchgate, near Stanley, will be put through their paces in a £500,000 simulator based on a Vauxhall Corsa. It aims to provide a driving experience as close to reality as possible.
The youngsters will also answer questions from the driving theory test and take part in a series of hazard perception exercises.
The event is part of driving school BSM's safety roadshow.
