SUPERMARKET workers in Darlington donned garish ties yesterday to raise cash for bowel cancer sufferers.
Staff at Asda, in Whinfield Road, wore loud ties and invited customers to give generously throughout the day.
Staff member Neil Atkinson said: "We all paid £1 to wear the worst ties we have ever been given and asked customers to donate. The customers seemed to like the ties and it gave them a good chuckle."
