Whitley Bay Churches got their best win of season and also helped Consett Churches and Jesmond Parish Church.

Whitley Bay were leading 3-0 at half time thanks to Geoff Noble, Paul Worsdale and Rob Lewis. Leaders Metro Church Sunderland had Jon Lumb and Simon Normandale pull the match back to 3-2 but Mark Oldham and David Quinn stretched the lead to 5-2 with Ryan Pender rapping up the scoring leaving Bay 5-3 winners.

Jesmond Parish Church beat Saint Peter's Low Fell 3-1, Jonathan Cook, David Angiers and Andy Widdington scoring for Jesmond with Andy Watson responding.

Consett Churches put six past Monkwearmouth Christians. Andrew Murray scoring four with David Cooke, Andrew Poole and netting one each. George Church getting Monkwearmouth Christians' lone goal.

Airport Church Newcastle were at home to Lanchester Chapel and took a 2-0 lead after 45 minutes with strikes from Matthew Slater and Andrew Roberts. With both teams missing a penalty in the first half Airport were awarded another and substitute Paul Proud, proudly put it away and he was also on hand to make the score 4-0 with Matthew Slater getting his second and his team's fifth and final goal in a 5-0 win.

Stranton Saints Hartlepool took a 3-0 lead from Matty Turnbull, Andrew Elsdon and an own goal from by the keeper. Opponents, Ryton Churches made a match of it with Chris Barkless and Byran Gilmour making the score 3-2 with Andy Normanton giving Stranton a 4-2 win.

The Second Division saw the top three winning. Jesmond Parish Athenians lead 1-0 against Bethany Christians Centre and then got into gear in the second half to win 4-0. Jason Alexander, Keith Chambers, Ken Matthews and Scott McLean on the mark.

Saint Aidan's Chapel Castington, in second place, played at home to second bottom Stockton Baptist Tabernacle. John Iley give Stockton the lead and held on for an hour and in the space of ten minutes lost the match 3-1 with Chris Orr (2) and Steve Dunkerley making Saint Aidan safe.

Heworth Christian Fellowship made the trek to Middlesbrough Baptist and inside 55 minutes were 4-1 up with Paul Rooney and own goal from John Rhodes and former Middlesbrough player Nick Rowlings netting two, and own Goal from Paul Wilkenson was the Middlesbrough strike. The second half saw Rowlings complete his hat-trick and John Scofield scoring for the Baptist's to finish with a scoreline of 5-2.

Yarm Emmanuel slowly climbed up the table this week at Heaton Hearts. Heaton took a two-goal lead with Eldon Tams and Aaron Parsons, but the Laing family, father Andy, son Marcus and nephew Ben gave Yarm a 3-2 half time lead. Craig Laycock give Yarm a 4-2 win.

At the bottom Whitley Bay Baptist Church were hoping to move off the bottom playing second bottom, and newcorners to the league this season, City Church Newcastle. Gary Harding opened the scoring in the first half and completed his hat-trick in the second. Baptist's were to remain where they were before the match started and City gained three valuable points with Shahab Makvandi also scoring, City won 4-0.

Saint John's Church Snod's Edge also trying to continue to progress in their first season played Jesmond Corinthians in a midtable battle at Rowlands Gill. With no score in the first half an own goal from Saint's John Page broke the deadlock. Thomas Beach and Scott Martin went on to score to give Corinthians a 3-0 win and sit just behind Saint John's in the table.
