West Auckland Queens Head are proving excellent representatives for the league in the Durham Minor Cup and they reached the quarter-finals with a victory at Winlaton Vulcan.

Matthew Moffatt missed a penalty for the Queens and they suffered another setback went Winlaton took the lead.Queens Head came back strongly, John Dawson equalised and the winner came from Carl Jones with just four minutes remaining.

Stanhope Town played some decent football early on against Willington WMC in the Colin Waites Trophy second leg. Willington proved much sharper in front of goal and went on to record a convincing 8-2 win. Malcolm McWilliams led the way with a hat-trick and other goals came from Stephen Lee, Ian Britton, Dale Parkinson, Michael Bylett and Andrew Howard. Rob O'Dell and Christopher Davies replied.

Lee Furber (2), Paul Bailes, Stephen Emery, Lee Morton and David Pakes were on target for Crook Wanderers who beat Crook White Swan 6-1. Peter Lonsdale netted for the Swan.

Byers Green St Peters are joint top after a 5-3 win at Tow Law Cattle Mart. Edward Umpleby (2) and Peter Brown scored for Tow Law who were level 3-3 at half time. David Savage (2), Paul Brownson (2) and Jeffrey Morrow were the St Peters scorers.

Bishop Rugby Club won 7-0 at Evenwood White Swan. Mark Foster led the way with four and the rest came from Darren Slater, David Evans and Matthew Tyrie.

James Ivil gave Roddymoor the lead at Howden Australian who equalised through Phil Currah. Michael Watts restored the Roddymoor advantage but a last minute goal from player manager Chris Atkinson earned Australian a point to end their poor recent run.
