HIGH-ACHIEVING pupils are being rewarded with privileged access to their school tuck shop.
Eastbourne School, in Darlington, held its first celebration evening this week to reward good behaviour and sporting and academic achievement.
Each pupil was presented with a scroll of honour, which will give them privileges, including access to the school tuck shop, which opens after half term.
One group of 28 pupils, who achieved a GCSE grade a year early, in French and expressive arts, was presented with prizes. The pupils are now studying hard to achieve a second grade in German or drama this summer.
Others were rewarded for exceptional behaviour, attitude or effort, or doing well in sports.
