A TEAM of volleyball players from Darlington's Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College will compete in the British Colleges' National Finals at Loughborough University next month.
The team swept the board at the Northern region competition in South Shields, defeating teams from Middlesbrough, South Tyneside, North Tyneside and Guisborough.
John Beilby, the college's head of sport, said: "The team has played together for a number of years at Haughton Volleyball Club, which must take a lot of credit for this win. Hopefully they can go on and emulate the success of the college's girls' team, which won this competition a few years ago."
