A MIDDLESBROUGH school is celebrating after being picked to receive £5,000 from fast-food chain McDonald's.
The cash will be raised with a series of charity events and donated to Abingdon Primary School later this year.
Headteacher Bob Eastwood said: "We are delighted they have chosen us. The money will be spent on school trips for the pupils and a new projector and screen for our computer room."
Twelve of the school's pupils will celebrate with a McDonald's party on Monday.
