A MOTHER who had to give up her dog when she became pregnant is appealing to the pet's owners to get in touch.
Christina Rickinson, of Crosby Street, Darlington, was heartbroken when she could no longer keep Kita, the black and white English pointer she had cared for since she was a teenager.
The eight-year-old bitch was given to family initially but was then taken to Ramshaw Rescue Centre, in Ramshaw, West Auckland, County Durham, last June.
The centre has told Ms Rickinson, 23, that the dog has now been rehomed in Middlesbrough and she would like to know how it is doing.
She said: "She's an unusual pointer, like a cross between a labrador and a dalmation and a really, really lovely dog. I'm now in a better position to look after her so if there was any question of her new owners not being able to keep her, I would gladly take her back. Really though, I just want to know that she is okay."
Anyone who can help Ms Rickinson can contact her on (01325) 361320 or 07816 563851.
