GREEN-fingered youngsters from Marske are helping plant a garden at their school.
The garden, in the nursery at Westgarth School, will have a play hut, sensory and quiet areas, and a vegetable section.
A £500 grant from the Co-op and £2,000 from the school's Parent and Friend Association made the work possible.
Tracey Garnett, chairwoman of Westgarth PFA, said: "The whole school has been involved in the design and planning of the garden.
"All the pupils will benefit from the garden. In the vegetable section, they will be learning how things grow, and in other areas they will be able to see which plants attract wildlife."
