YOUNG mother Lyndsay McKellar is on cue for her international pool debut.
The 23-year-old Redcar woman, who plays for the town's Clarendon Hotel, will represent Scotland in the European Championships in Dublin from tomorrow.
She only began competing in pool two years ago and can't believe she is to fly out with the seven-strong women's team. The mother of three-year-old Robyn said: "I'm a bit nervous but I'm really looking forward to it. My family moved from Scotland when I was eight but it's still my country."
Miss McKellar's mother and father, Gordon and Tricia, have helped their daughter pay for accommodation, with £200 from fundraising activities.
The West Redcar Single Regeneration Budget Community Chest is funding the flight. For more information about the Community Chest, contact Laura Ellison on (01642) 444281.
