AN ELDERLY woman and her son were taken to hospital after a vehicle collided with their parked car.
The accident occurred at 6.20pm on Sunday when a red Nissan Micra veered into a green Peugeot 306 while it was parked at the junction of Dutchy Road and Brunswick Drive, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
Martin John Mayhew, 58, of Fountains Way, Knaresborough, was helping his mother out of the car and into a wheelchair when the accident happened. He was taken to Harrogate District Hospital with serious injuries.
Vera Mayhew, 87, of Dutchy Road, was taken to the same hospital with a broken leg. The driver of the Nissan was unhurt.
Police are appealing for witnesses to call (01423) 539474.
