TWO doctors are planning to test themselves to the limit in an effort to raise more than £5,000 for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
John Waldron and Duncan Rogers have pledged to cycle 235kms in ten days across the South Island of New Zealand.
They work together at the Mowbray House Surgery, in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, and before they can take part in the trip they each have to raise £2,500.
Businesses and patients have helped out, including Specsavers, which, as well as giving money, has donated two pairs of sports sunglasses, worth £130 each.
Dr Waldron said: "The glasses will definitely come in handy for keeping out the midday sun.
"We're also grateful for all the support we've received from other local businesses and out patients."
Anyone who would like to help can give donations at the Mowbray House Surgery, or at Specsavers, on the High Street.
