WORKERS on Teesside have helped turn life around for students attending a special needs centre.
A team of four working for Enron Teesside Operations Limited (ETOL) Asset Management, in Wilton, has built an extended concrete turning circle on which the minibus run by the Kirkleatham Special Project can be safely parked.
Not only was the old concrete turning circle crumbling and dangerous, the bus bringing special needs adults to and from the centre had to manoeuvre uneven, muddy ground.
Sue Franklin, training officer for the project, said: "The previous concreted area was in disrepair and I must thank Asset Management for providing us with an area big enough for even me to turn the minibus around.
"A lot of time, money and physical effort has been put in and this will make access much safer and easier."
Barry Proud, ETOL's safety, health and environment manager, said: "We were delighted to help.
"We always like to put something back into the local community and this was something concrete - if you'll pardon the pun - which we could do."
