Cases dealt with by Darlington Magistrates' Court yesterday.
DRIVER DISQUALIFIED: Alan James Glazier, 20, of Maple Avenue, Shildon, was disqualified from driving for six months, fined £290 and ordered to pay £35 costs after admitting driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, having no insurance and no test certificate.
DEFECTIVE EXHAUST: Denzyl Cox, 48, of Gordon Lane, Ramshaw, Bishop Auckland, pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance, having a defective exhaust, light and tyre. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £35 costs.
CHARGE DENIED: David William Johnson, 42, of Hartlea Avenue, Beaumont Hill, Darlington, denied failing to comply with a red light. He will appear in court again on April 8 for a pre-trial review.
six-month bAN: Lee Arron Hopps, 18, of Farm Close, Bishop Auckland, pleaded guilty to driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, without insurance or a test certificate, with a defective wind- screen, tyres, and fog lamp. Hopps, who was already disqualified from driving for a year, was disqualified for six months to run concurrently, and fined £100.
driver fined: Christopher Geoffrey Bradley, 23, of Magnolia Way, Shildon, admitted driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and having no insurance. He was fined £170, ordered to pay £35 costs and was given six penalty points on his licence.
penalty points: Anthony Thexton, 20, of Roman Walk, West Auckland, was fined £135 and ordered to pay £35 costs after admitting driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, having no insurance and no test certificate. He was also given six penalty points.
NO INSURANCE: Richard Sheraton Searle, 24, of High Row, Bishop Middleham, was fined £100, ordered to pay £35 costs and given six penalty points after he admitted driving without insurance.
FINE AND BAN: Gavin Richard Hutchinson, 19, of Zetland Road, Barnard Castle, was fined a total of £70 and disqualified from driving for six months after admitting driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, and having no insurance or test certificate.
