LIFE mirrored fiction when a North Yorkshire pub launched an Internet cafe yesterday.
Recent episodes of radio soap The Archers have included the introduction of computers at The Bull and now regulars at The Blacksmiths Arms, in North Cowton, can go online on Tuesdays, between 11am and 3pm.
Landlady Ann Bellas said she was happy to run more sessions if there was a demand. With up to 20 people calling in yesterday, she said it was a distinct possibility.
Run with the help of the Learn Direct agency, barman Matthew Edmunds has taken on the role of teacher.
"But most of us are beginners with computers. I learned how to use the mouse and sent my first email to head office," said Mrs Bellas
