With the weather improving Spraire managed to get more games played.
The under 9 kept up their title challenge with a good 1-0 win at title chasing Cleveland. The first half was dominated by the defences with both keepers not having much to do. The second half began with Spraire playing the much better football and their reward came ten minutes from the end with quick thinking Kerry Hedley taking a quick throw in over the heads of the static Cleveland defence for sub Zac Tervit to run through and rifle the ball home.
The following friendly was just as close with Spraire drawing 2-2 with goals from Zac and one from Kerry.
The under 12 made the long trip to Lingdale and were unlucky to lose 4-2 Lingdale scored to late goals to take the three points.
Spraire's goal game from D Anderton and A. Verity MOM was Anderton.
The u13 were at home to Levan and despite a poor first half performance they staged a good recovery to get a 3-3 draw all three goals came from Danny Rimmer who came on as sub late in the first half.
The u14 were at home to Kiora youth in the quarter final of the TJFA league cup and got a great 6-1 victory goals coming from C Lavelle (2) T Howard (2) M Ward and M Davision who was also MOM.
Spraire Lads U14 Bs good run of form came to an end with a 3-2 defeat at Saltburn. Martin Dauber and Jasdip Basra grabbed the goals. There were some desperate moments in the closing minutes but Saltburn hung-on to take the points. The Spraire MoM was Jonathan Petch for a very sound display in goal.
Spraire's U14 Richmond League team took a break from league football and played Billingham Wanderers in a friendly. Spraire put in a good performance and finished 3-1 winners. Gary Ormerod scored two first-half goals, the first a back-post header and the second a direct free kick. However, the goal of the match belonged to Matthew McNaughton who finished-off an excellent three-man move that started on the edge of the Spraire penalty area.
The u15 were away to Kader and proudced a great team performance to pull of a great 3-6 victory goals comming from S Heeley (4) A Lancaster and S Cheesman. The u15bs had a derby game to All Stars and came away with a 3-1 vicotory with all goals coming from S Oliver.
