A GROUP of schoolchildren proved to be busy beavers as they constructed a willow tunnel and dome to improve their garden last week.
The work was carried out on Friday by pupils of Consett Infant School and Nursery Unit in Consett, in their Early Year's Garden.
The Whitbread Willow Wonderland Walk was constructed under the guidance of Ruth Thompson from Sylvan Skills.
The school is hoping for a grant to help its funding from Whitbread Action Earth Campaign.
Sponsors Whitbread supplied tabards, certificates and stickers for all the participating children, who are aged from three to five years old.
