A GANG of five youths are being hunted by police for an unprovoked attack on a 41-year-old man with speech and hearing disabilities.
He was about to get on his motorbike near his home at Fleet House, in Brambles Farm, Middlesbrough, when he was approached by two youths.
One of them smashed a bottle over his head.
He was not hurt because he was wearing a crash helmet but they stole his keys from him.
Three other youths then approached him and tried to steal his motorbike, but were disturbed by a neighbour. All five ran off in the direction of Pallister Avenue.
PC John Johnson, of Middlesbrough police, said: "This was an unprovoked and cowardly attack on a man.
"Luckily, he was not injured but he has been left traumatised by the incident."
The youth who took the keys was about 15, 5ft 8in, slim, and was wearing a black hat and a red top with black stripes.
