Thirsk School's under-13 footballers have become Coca Cola county cup champions after beating Huntington School 2-0 in an enthralling game.
Thirsk started the game well and went close to scoring within minutes of the start when a good shot by Duncan Padget was well saved by the Huntington keeper.
Many opportunities came Thirsk's way, with Dion Costick and Phil Waterworth only denied by good defending.
Tom Burrell opened the scoring from close range after a good corner from Costick and, with five minutes to go, excellent play by Sam Raw gave Padget the chance to make it 2-0.
The winning Thirsk team was made up of Andrew Brough, Adam Williams, James Padget, Grant Hall, Jack Radcliffe, Dion Costick, Sam Raw, Philip Waterworth, Tom Burrell, Duncan Padget and Robbie Fountain.
Substitutes were Tom Daniels, Stuart Wright, Johnny Raddon
