Premiership Leaders Meadowfield Brancepeth Castle returned to winning ways, to maintain the top spot in the Premiership by one point from Burnmoor Cricket Club.
Brancepeth beat visitors Fatfield North Biddick 3-2. Leading marksman Tony Hanson bagged two and one from Chris Baxter. Burnmoor in the meantime crashed to a 4-2 home defeat by Fishburn WMC. Hetton Lyons Cricket Club moved into third place winning 5-0 at Newton Hall Brad Groves and Ben Ryan hit two each with Mick Cavaghan adding the fifth. Newton Hall are now rock bottom off the Division with one point. Second Bottom club Coxhoe WMC were 1-0 away winners at Murton Village Inn, thanks to a fine strike from Gavin Barton. Sherburn Lambton Arms were 2-1 winners at Sedgefield St Edmunds Graham Best hit a 30 yard volley and strike partner Mickey Boyle scored the winner.
In the First Division, two second half goals from Roger Ward gave the Glendale a 2-1 away win at Brandon Bay Horse. This was after Brandon led 1-0 at half time with a John Dickinson penalty.
John Hayes and Paul Robson scored to keep leaders Chester Garden Farm at the Top of the First Division as they beat visitors Washington Sports 2-1Belmont Sportsmans lost by the odd goal in seven at Hetton New Inn.
New Inn led 2-1 at half time and added further goals in the second half to win 4-3. Marksmen for Belmont were Kieth Burn, Alex Mirley, Steve Foster. Bottom Club Sunderland Lakeside were 4-1 home winners over Lumley Sports and Social, Chris Merritt scoring two, an own goal and a fine strike from Paul Bainbridge.
Leaders in the Second Division Ouston Red Lion had an easy home win over bottom club Washington Sports. Dave Hewson scoring two, Kevin Shields and an own goal. Washington Dunlop currently second in the Division crashed to a Surprise defeat 5-2 at Houghton Mill AllStars. Durham City WMC moved into the top three with a hard fought 4-0 win away at Langley Park WMC.
Ushaw Moor Cricket Club scored four goals away from home but still suffered a 9-4 defeat at New Herrington Flighters. Gary Brown Derek Davidson, Mark Burnham and Martin Barron scoring and man of the match was stand in Keeper Steve Milburn.
In the Third Division Byers Green WMC moved into top spot beating visitors Houghton Chilton Lodge 6-2, Glendening Arms and visitors Washington Honest Boy shared the points in a 3-3 draw.
Chester Horners and visitors Birtley William Hotel Shared the points in the 2-2 draw in the Fourth Division Horners scoring first through Dave Sawyer who had missed a penalty five minutes earlier. Mickey Spur added a further goal to give Horners a 2-0 half time win but the William levelled the scores in the second half Mickey Watson and an own goal gave Langley Park Sports and Social a 2-1 win away at Brandon Sports, John Liddle Hit 4 for Pittington as they beat visitors Witton White Tunn 7-4 Adam Hudson adding a further two and James Donaldson making it seven.
