WELL-BEHAVED children at a Darlington school are being rewarded for their efforts with a weekly treat.
Pupils at Firthmoor Primary School who stay out of trouble get to sit at a golden table every Friday, where they are waited on by staff.
"They sit at the table with a nice cloth and nice glasses and flowers and are given menus," said the school's pupil inclusion officer, Dawn Kilpatrick.
"The staff serve their food and clear up after them. The children seem to really enjoy it."
Lunchtime supervisors are asked at the end of each week to nominate the best children.
"It's for the children that get missed, the ones that don't cause problems at lunch times," said Ms Kilpatrick. "It's to say thank you to them for being lovely. They are the backbone of the school."
