A GROUP of teenage boys from a Stockton school have helped raise money for a Blue Peter appeal.
David Hardman, Neil McDonald, Jonathan Chambers and Philip Hardwick, all in year 11 at Grangefield School, came up with the idea to raise money for the Blue Peter Water Works Appeal.
They volunteered to run a bring-and-buy sale in the school library in their spare time and raised almost £70.
School librarian Lol O'Donnell said: "It is so nice to see boys doing a good turn for others.
"When teenage boys normally get such bad press, it is pleasing to see that sometimes they can have good ideas and then put them into action.
"I am delighted with their efforts and I wish the appeal every success.
