A FOOTBALL legend's jubilee fund will be boosted by an ice show's ticket sales.
Organisers of Holiday on Ice In Concert, being staged at Newcastle's Telewest Arena in April, will donate £1 for every opening night ticket sold to Newcastle United manager Sir Bobby Robson's fund.
The fund aims to raise £55,000 for a double-headed microscope to carry out reconstructive surgery following facial cancer.
It will be based at Ipswich Hospital, where Sir Bobby had surgery, and will halve operation times, enabling twice as many patients to be treated.
In honour of the show's link with the club, Newcastle United season ticket holders and members of the Young Supporters' Club will be able to buy one ticket and get one free for any performance.
Show marketing manager Kate Wilde said they were delighted to be helping Sir Bobby Robson's jubilee fund. Tickets for the show, which runs from April 9 to 13, are available from the box office on 0870 707 8000
