POLICE homed in on a pub last night in a bid to discover clues to the whereabouts of a missing student.
Craig Hetherington, 22, from Guisborough, east Cleveland, was last seen almost two weeks ago near the Corner House pub, Middles- brough, in the early hours of Saturday, February 22.
His family have had no contact with him since then and the University of Teesside student has not withdrawn any money from his bank account.
A combined police and Cleveland Search and Rescue intensive sweep of river banks at Middlesbrough, allotments, derelict buildings and outhouses drew a blank this week, but will continue.
Regulars at the Corner House were asked by police officers last night if they had seen 6ft 2in Craig, who has short brown hair and was last seen wearing a black shirt with white checks, white collar and cuffs. He has a silver DKNY watch on his wrist.
Officers showed photographs of Craig and posters.
Detective Inspector Mich-ael Wall said: "We need to speak to anyone who may have seen him or talked to him. His family are obviously desperately worried about him and have appealed to him or anyone that knows of him to contact the police."
Anyone with information about Craig is asked to ring police on (01642) 326326 or (01642) 302935
